On 22nd August, CIRC successfully participated in the IAEA’s Second International Conference on the Application of Radiation Science and Technology (ICARST). The conference, held at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna, Austria, brings over 400 radiation scientists, technologists, entrepreneurs and policymakers from 90 countries，the most number of participants on site since the pandemic.
In this high profile conference, CIRC has set up a professional booth to promote the core competencies lies in nuclear medicine, radiology, brachytherapy, turnkey solutions on medical projects and irradiation processing. Deputy chief engineer of CIRC Mr. Yin Yuji made a keynote report on “Research of Irradiation Sterilization Process on Medical Protective Gowns”; deputy general manager of Irradiation department of CIRC Mr. Wang Hongwei made a poster about “Study on the Irradiation Processing Dose of SARS-CoV-2 Inactivation on the Surface of Imported Cold Chain Food ”.
Besides, on 23rd, CIRC participated in the side event initiated by the China Atomic Energy Agency and organized by China National Nuclear Corporation and China Isotope & Radiation Association. The event received over 60 participants from medical, industrial, institutional and governmental sectors. Mr. Yinyuji and Mr. Jia weibin has respectively made keynote speech on “Recent Development of Irradiation Processing in China” and “Radiation Technology for Better Healthcare”.
The event has allowed CIRC to connect with old and new partners from Germany, Poland, Pakistan, Serbia, Brazil, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania, Malaysia, Australia, Cameron, Yemen, Sri Lanka etc. With the opportunities brought by partners from both private and public sectors, CIRC would continuously provide the best services and products for the international community.
